Private Transfer Rome to Amalfi Coast

Departs from Rome

Rome to the Amalfi Coast door to door: a driver meets you at Fiumicino or Ciampino airport, at Roma Termini or at your hotel in Rome and drives you in a minivan, up to 8 passengers with luggage, to your accommodation in Positano, Amalfi, Ravello, Praiano or any other town on the coast. Your party only, driver who speaks English and Italian.

The price is per vehicle and agreed in advance. Send us your pick-up point in Rome, your flight or train details, the address on the coast and the number of passengers, and we reply with the quote.

Rome to Positano or Amalfi in one go

There is no direct public route from Rome to the Amalfi Coast. The usual way is the high-speed train to Naples or Salerno, then a local train or bus, then the SITA bus along the coast road, or a ferry in season: three or four changes with luggage, and a coast bus that may be full when it reaches your stop. The transfer is one vehicle from the airport or the station to your door, about four hours on the road depending on the town and the traffic, which on the coast in summer is part of the plan.

The day of travel

At the airport the driver is in the arrivals hall with a name sign and follows the flight, so a late landing changes the departure time, not the arrangement. Down the motorway past Naples, then either across the Sorrento Peninsula to Positano or over the Lattari mountains to Amalfi and Ravello, whichever is quicker for your destination. A stop is possible on the way, at Pompeii for instance; tell us when you ask for the quote and we build in the time. Many houses in Positano and Praiano are reached by steps: let us know and the driver leaves you at the closest point the road allows.

Price

Per vehicle, not per person, according to date, time, destination and number of passengers. Driver, fuel, tolls, taxes and insurance are included. For the quote: pick-up point in Rome, flight or train details, address on the coast, number of people and bags.

Other routes

For the return there is the transfer from the Amalfi Coast to Rome. From Rome we also drive to Naples and to Sorrento; all routes are on the private transfers page. Once you are on the coast, our Amalfi Coast boat tours show you Positano and Amalfi from the water.
