Arriving in Naples with Sorrento as your destination

From the airport there is no train to Sorrento: it is a bus to the station first, then the Circumvesuviana or the Campania Express, an hour or more of local train with your luggage in the aisle, or the ferry from the port when it runs. Each is fine for a backpack. For a family, a couple with suitcases or anyone landing tired, the transfer turns the arrival into a drive of about an hour and a quarter to an hour and three quarters, depending on traffic on the coast, and ends at the door.

How the pick-up works

At the airport the driver is in the arrivals hall with a name sign and follows your flight, so a delay is not your problem. At Napoli Centrale you meet at the agreed spot; at the port, by your ship or ferry. From there the motorway to Castellammare and the coast road into Sorrento, with the Gulf of Naples on your right and Vesuvius behind you. Hotels up the hill in Sorrento and holiday homes down lanes that a coach cannot enter are no problem for a minivan.
