This was genuinely one of my favourite experiences during my travels around Italy! It was very reasonably priced, the captain was lovely, and the whole experience was fantastic from start to finish. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable experience!

Reviews of this tour
the staff was nice and Roberto was great!!! really good trip 👌
The information about the things we were being shown was great! And the captain of the boat made sure we all were on the same page about whether to take a swim or check out other spots.
We had a great time on our boat tour. The water was choppy and a bit rough at points but our captain did a phenomenal job navigating and still making this a fun experience for us all.
It was an incredible experience! We really liked the excursion. We were able to enjoy views from the sea and even swim in the crystal-clear waters of Capri. We were a small group of 10 people, and this boat was perfect. Highly recommended.
A great experience. I would have liked the time at sea to last longer. We were only there for about 10 minutes, but by the time everyone got off, it was reduced. Other than that, everything you see is beautiful.
A small boat, not a big one
Most island tours use larger boats with sixty or more passengers. The gozzo is different: low on the water, room for twelve, a captain who steers and talks at the same time. It goes where the big boats cannot, into the grottos and close under the rocks, and it stops when the water is worth a swim. This is the Capri boat experience for people who want the sea, not just the view of it: two hours of la dolce vita on the water.
The route around the island
From Marina Grande the boat heads east under the Salto di Tiberio, the cliff below the emperor's villa, and into the White Grotto. Past the Natural Arch and the rock of the Monacone you reach the Faraglioni, and when the sea allows the captain takes the boat through the Arch of Love in the middle rock. Then the south coast: Villa Malaparte on its promontory, the bay of Marina Piccola, the Green Grotto with its emerald water, and the lighthouse at Punta Carena on the western tip before the return. The Blue Grotto is not part of the route because of the queue at its entrance.
Swimming, snorkelling and the aperitif
The captain chooses the swim stops according to the sea that day, usually in a cove with clear water. Masks are on board for snorkelling. Back on deck there are snacks and drinks, and the limoncello comes out towards the end, which is the right moment for it. Bring a swimsuit, a towel and sun cream; a hat helps at midday.
Meeting point and prices
You meet our staff at the office in via Don Giobbe Ruocco 51, at the port of Marina Grande, a few steps from the ferry piers; they give you a map of the island and walk you to the boat. Adults € 60 in April, May and October, € 70 in June and September, € 75 in July and August; children up to 3 travel free. The tour depends on sea conditions.
Other ways to see Capri from the water
For a shorter and cheaper island tour on a larger boat there is the one-hour boat trip around Capri, from € 25, and the version with a stop at the Blue Grotto. For a boat just for your group, see the private boat tour of Capri. All departures are on the Capri boat tours page, and the Capri map helps with the rest of your day.
