Three towns from the Vesuvius coast

From Portici and Torre del Greco the Amalfi Coast by road is the motorway, the pass and the coast road, a long morning even before the parking. By sea it is the day itself: you leave from the Granatello marina in Portici or the Muraglione pier in Torre del Greco, after a short transfer from the meeting point we send you once you tell us where you are staying.

The crossing and the coast

Out of the port the boat points at Sorrento, and for the first stretch Vesuvius fills the view behind you. Along the peninsula come the Baths of Queen Giovanna, the Bay of Ieranto and the reserve of Punta Campanella; beyond the cape, the Li Galli, Nerano, Praiano and the Fjord of Furore, each one named by the tour leader as it passes, together with the time to be back on board at the next stop.

An hour each: Amalfi, Ravello, Positano

Amalfi first, about an hour: the cathedral of Saint Andrew and its staircase, the main street with its paper shops. Then the minibus, included, up to Ravello for about an hour: Villa Rufolo and its garden over the Gulf of Salerno, entrance paid on the spot, and the cathedral square. Then back to the boat and on to Positano, about an hour, for the lanes of boutiques and pottery and the beach, with the view of the town from the water on the way out. Lunch is not included; with three one-hour stops, decide beforehand where to eat.

Prices and notes

Adults € 125 in April, May and October, € 130 in June and September, € 140 in July and August; children aged 3 to 6 pay € 10 less in every period, infants up to 2 travel free. In the price: transfer, cruise, tour leader, free time and the minibus to Ravello. Paid separately: lunch and tickets. Three towns of steps mean shoes you can climb in, plus a hat, water and sun cream in summer; the itinerary depends on the sea.
