The classic Capri day from Sorrento: pick-up at a meeting point in Sorrento or a nearby town, transfer to the port, the boat along the Sorrento Coast and across to Marina Grande, free time on the island, the cruise around Capri and a limoncello tasting on board. About 9 hours, with an assistant who speaks English, Italian and Spanish.

Why this rather than the ferry
The public ferry gets you to Capri and back for less. What it does not give you is the cruise around the island, which is the part of Capri you cannot reach on foot, the transfer from your hotel to the port, and someone on board to tell you how to use your hours ashore. After booking we send you the nearest meeting point in Sorrento or the surrounding towns; the transfer takes you to the port and the day starts on the water.
The island: your hours and ours
Ashore you decide. Most people take the funicular up to the Piazzetta and walk to the Gardens of Augustus, the terrace above the Faraglioni and via Krupp; others go straight up to Anacapri by bus for Villa San Michele and the chairlift to Monte Solaro. Funicular, bus, chairlift and tickets are paid on the spot, as is lunch. The Blue Grotto is not in the programme because of the waiting time at its entrance; if you want to go in, arrange it in your free time and check our Blue Grotto guide first.
Then the cruise, with the tour leader: the Salto di Tiberio, the White Grotto, the Natural Arch, the Faraglioni and the Arch of Love in the middle rock when the sea allows, the Green Grotto, the lighthouse at Punta Carena and Villa San Michele above the north coast. Somewhere along the way the limoncello comes out.
Price and notes
Adults € 85 from April to June and from September to October, € 90 in July and August; children aged 3 to 6 € 75 and € 80; infants up to 2 free. Included: transfer, crossing, cruise around the island, assistant, map and limoncello tasting. Not included: the landing fee, lunch and tickets on the island. Comfortable shoes, hat and sun cream in summer. The route can change with the sea.
