The summer version of our Capri day from Sorrento
From April to October we run the Capri boat trip from Sorrento with limoncello, from € 85. In the four warm months this version adds the stop that changes the day: the boat anchors off the coast of Capri and you go in. If you are coming in spring or October, book the other one; if you are coming in July, this is the one people remember.
On the island
At Marina Grande you pay the landing fee and get the map and the return time from the assistant. The hours ashore are free: the Piazzetta and the Gardens of Augustus on the Capri side, Anacapri and the chairlift to Monte Solaro on the quiet side, all reached by funicular and bus paid on the spot. The Blue Grotto is not in the programme; the assistant can help you plan a visit in your free time, and our Blue Grotto guide explains times and prices.
The cruise and the swim
Back on board, the boat goes round the island: the Marvellous Grotto, the White Grotto and the Green Grotto, Villa Malaparte on its rock, the Faraglioni with the Arch of Love when the sea is calm. Then it stops for the swim, in a spot chosen according to the sea that day, and after the swim the limoncello comes round. Wear the swimsuit under your clothes, since there are no changing rooms on board, and bring a towel and sun cream.
