Capri Boat Tour from Piano di Sorrento with Limoncello
The cheapest way we know to spend a day on Capri with the cruise around the island included: you come to the port of Piano di Sorrento yourself, the boat does the rest. Meeting at 8:00 at the ticket office in via Marina di Cassano 102, then the Sorrento Coast from the water, the crossing, free hours on the island, the round-the-island cruise and a small limoncello tasting.
About 9 hours, every day from 1 April to 31 October, weather permitting, with an assistant who speaks English, Italian and Spanish. Adults € 69, in July and August € 75; children aged 3 to 6 € 5 less, infants up to 2 free.

No pick-up, lower price
Our Capri day trips from Sorrento include a transfer from your hotel to the port. This one does not: the meeting point is the port itself, at Marina di Cassano in Piano di Sorrento, and that is why it costs less than the same day with pick-up in Sorrento, € 85. If you are staying in Piano di Sorrento, Sant'Agnello or Meta, or you have a car, it is the one to book.
What happens during the day
From Marina di Cassano the boat follows the Sorrento Coast, fishing villages and terraces above the sea, and crosses to Marina Grande, where you pay the € 5 landing fee of the town of Capri. The assistant gives you a map and the time to be back at the port. Then the hours on the island are yours: the funicular to the Piazzetta, the Gardens of Augustus above the Faraglioni, or the bus to Anacapri and the chairlift up Monte Solaro, all paid on the spot. Back on board, the cruise around Capri: the Marvellous, White and Green grottos, Villa Malaparte, the Faraglioni and the Arch of Love when the sea allows, and a taste of limoncello along the way. The Blue Grotto is not part of the cruise; the assistant can help you fit it into your free time, and our Blue Grotto guide has the details.
Price and notes
Adults € 69 from April to June and from September to October, € 75 in July and August; children aged 3 to 6 € 64 and € 70; infants up to 2 free. Included: the crossing, the cruise, the assistant, the map and the limoncello tasting. Not included: the landing fee, lunch and tickets on the island. Comfortable shoes, hat and sun cream. The programme can change with the sea. Other departures from the peninsula are on the excursions from Sorrento page, and the Capri map helps with the free time.
