Guided Capri from the Vesuvius coast, without going through Naples

From Portici and Torre del Greco the usual road to Capri passes through the port of Naples. This tour does not: the meeting points are in your town, the transfer takes you to the port, the Granatello marina in Portici or the Muraglione pier in Torre del Greco, and you board there. The crossing

The boat leaves the Vesuvius coast with the volcano behind you and the island ahead. The crew explain how the day is organised and give you a map of Capri. At Marina Grande you pay the landing fee of the town, € 5 per person, which is not in the price.

Anacapri and Capri with the guide

The minibus climbs first to Anacapri, the upper town: white lanes, small squares, shops selling the island's sandals and perfume, and the chairlift to Monte Solaro, optional and paid on the spot. Then Capri town on foot: the Piazzetta, piazza Umberto I, and the Gardens of Augustus above the Faraglioni and via Krupp. Along the way you taste the limoncello made from the lemons of the coast. The guide tells the story of the island as you walk, and at the end of the visit leaves you with free time for lunch and shopping.

The boat trip around the island, optional

The afternoon is yours, or you add the cruise: € 24 per person, booked with the tour. The boat follows the coast with the tour leader on board, past the White Grotto and the Green Grotto, under the Natural Arch and Villa Malaparte, through the Arch of Love at the Faraglioni when the sea allows, along Marina Piccola to the lighthouse at Punta Carena. Afterwards the boat crosses back and the transfer returns you to the meeting point.

Prices and practical notes

Adults € 119, children aged 3 to 6 € 109, infants up to 2 free, plus € 24 per person for the cruise if you take it. The price covers transfers, crossing, licensed guide, minibus, map and limoncello; the landing fee, the chairlift, other tickets and lunch are paid on the spot.
