You only really get Capri from the sea. The grottoes, the Faraglioni, the cliffs dropping straight into the water: most of the best spots can only be seen by boat. That is why almost all our Capri tours include the trip around the island and then leave time to go up to the Piazzetta or Anacapri.

If you are already on the island

From Marina Grande there is the one-hour Capri boat tour, a version with a swim stop and one with a stop at the Blue Grotto, from € 25. If you prefer to stay on land, the guided tour of Capri and Anacapri includes entry to the Gardens of Augustus.

If you are coming from the mainland

From Naples, Portici, Torre del Greco, Castellammare, Sorrento, Piano di Sorrento and Seiano there are day tours with the crossing, the island boat trip and free time. Some add a guided visit of Capri and Anacapri, others a swim stop or limoncello tasting. From Rome there is also a day trip by high-speed train.

Ferry or tour?

If you just want to reach Capri and explore on your own, the HP Travel ferry from Torre del Greco, Portici, Seiano, Piano di Sorrento or Sorrento is enough. A tour makes sense when you want to see the island from the sea without planning anything.
